Precipitation beginning to fall.
There are three phases to a thunderstorm, Cumulus stage (where the storm builds up), the Mature stage (greatest intensity, lots of updraft, rain hitting the ground), and the Dissipating stage (predominantly downdraft and the storm dies down).
